Rudra Inspect · Chrome extension
Privacy Policy
Summary: Rudra Inspect reads CSS data from pages you inspect in the side panel. Scans are processed locally in your browser. We do not upload page content to our servers. Optional sponsored footer ads may use anonymous analytics.
1. Who we are
Rudra Inspect (“the extension”, “we”, “us”) is a Chrome browser extension operated by Rakesh Raja. This policy explains what information the extension processes, where it is stored, and what is sent to third parties.

2. What Rudra Inspect does
Rudra Inspect is a side-panel CSS inspector for Chrome. When you open it on a tab, it injects a script into that tab only to read fonts, colors, headings, contrast samples, and element styles for display in the panel. It may also show an optional sponsored message strip in the extension footer.
3. What the extension accesses
When you use Rudra Inspect on a tab, the extension may read from that page:
- Font families, sizes, and weights in use
- Text, background, and border colors
- Heading tags and their styles
- Contrast samples for accessibility checks
- Computed styles when you use the element inspector
This data is processed locally in your browser to show results in the side panel. We do not upload page content to our servers for the core inspect workflow.
4. Information stored on your device
On your device, the extension may store:
- Extension preferences and cached ad payloads (Chrome
storage) - Anonymous install ID — a random UUID for ad analytics, not linked to your identity
5. Network requests
The extension may connect to:
- Google Firebase / Firestore — fetch sponsored footer ads
- partner.rakesh.in — approximate country code lookup and anonymous ad event reporting (slot ID, ad ID, event type, timestamp, install ID, country code). No page URLs or page content are sent.
6. Permissions we request
- sidePanel — show the inspector UI
- activeTab — access the current tab when you use the extension
- scripting — inject the inspector script on demand when you open the panel
- tabs — identify the active browser tab for the side panel
- storage — save preferences and ad cache locally
- host access (http/https) — run the inspector on pages you choose to audit
7. Third-party and restricted pages
Rudra Inspect cannot run on restricted pages (for example chrome:// or the Chrome Web Store).
This is a browser security limitation.
8. What we do not do
- We do not sell your personal information
- We do not upload inspected page content to rakesh.in servers
- We do not inject ads into web pages you visit — promos appear only inside the extension panel
9. Data retention and deletion
Data in chrome.storage remains until you clear extension data or uninstall Rudra Inspect.
Uninstalling removes locally stored extension data from your browser profile.
10. Children’s privacy
Rudra Inspect is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country).
11. International users
The extension is operated from India. Third-party services you connect to (such as Firebase) may process data in other regions under their own terms.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this page when the extension changes. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do.
